condition Keyboard pre-selected as good candidate and passed initial testing to confirm mechanical condition.  Upper keyboard case disassembled and individual 101 keys have been removed and fully cleaned by hand.  Inspection of interior plate.  All 56 plastic rivets drilled out and replaced with M2 precision screws to restore internal integrity.  Interior plate vacuumed to remove foreign debris.  Keyboard re-assembled and re-tested post-cleaning. Individual photography of rear label.
comments Very nice IBM model M keyboard with stepped Alt keys and Enter keys
comments This keyboard is tested to work 100%. The keyboard assembly has been confirmed to be in functional, operational condition.
comments All 56 plastic rivets have been expertly replaced with M2 screws for ensure for a tight and crisp keyboard feel.

Nice example of early 1987 IBM model M keyboard being sold at slight discount 1) black SDL to 5-pin DIN cable is in shiny condition, but one of the plastic retaining clips is missing and 2) the left shift key works and the left Ctrl key works, as expected.  The right shift + the right Ctrl key activate as one key.  Not major problems for most users looking for a bargain.  (We were debating on whether or not to sell the keyboard as-is and to carefully describe the issue to the customer and offer a fixed discount or if we wanted to invest a half day to deconstruct the keyboard again and replace the spare parts to fix two of the keys that are less frequently used).
